Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup ASCII (“the app”) does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs, and no network code. It works fully offline.

Data handled by the app

All data the app creates — save files, configuration files, character dumps (morgue files), and key layout customizations — is stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage and in folders you explicitly select via the system file picker (Storage Access Framework) when you use the backup or restore features.

The app does not transmit this data anywhere. It is never sent to the developer or to any third party.

Permissions

The app declares no Android runtime permissions. Vibration (if enabled in settings) uses Android’s vibrator service, which on modern Android versions does not require a permission grant.

Children’s privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Crash reports and Play Console

Google Play may collect crash logs, ANR reports, and diagnostic information from your device under Google’s own privacy policy when you install apps from the Play Store. This is controlled by Google and your device settings, not by this app. See Google’s policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same URL with an updated effective date.
